Blocking Board & Pins – Local Beech
These blocking boards have been beautifully hand-crafted with crocheters and knitters in mind.

These new boards have been crafted from local, seasoned Beech. This little piece of This sustainably & locally sourced (non-farmed) slab of Beech is particularly gorgeous, with it’s natural striations and grain.

The solid hardwood is perfectly smooth and finished with mineral oil which will not discolour or get smelly, and offers protection against water and wet blocking (but don’t immerse in water).

Comes with stainless steel pins which are far more durable than bamboo skewers, tapered to fit snugly in the holes and rust/tarnish proof!

Brilliant for blocking out granny squares, hexagons, hearts etc, and other small knits like hats, booties, etc.

Generously sized:

  • 10″ (25cm) x 12″ (30cm)
  • 1″ (2.5cm) thick
  • Holes spaced by 1cm to accommodate 9″ (22cm) square
  • 8 x 3mm Tapered Stainless Steel pins, 7″ (17.5cm) long
  • Felt pads to the underside

This board has been slowly and skilfully crafted. Every single piece is rare and totally unique.
